It was a week of high temperatures and a wind blowing from the South. This usually gives pretty steady conditions concerning weather. Then, suddenly the wind changed direction to North-Northwest and transportation of cold air over the moist North sea started. This caused the clouds to literally explode when they rolled in over the relative warm land. An awesome event to witness. Being able to see this clouds grow and grow until they reached the stadium that they produced rain, hail and or lightning makes you feel just a tiny part of nature. Curtains of rain are rapidly approaching over the rural planes of Groningen while the clouds are blown across the landscape. After the intens shower the skies cleared again and the whole sequence starts over again. When the sun is setting and you are on the right place at the right time some beautiful pictures can be taken.
